The Invite

How do you get invited on hunts, exploring tours, raids etc. I can´t go through all of it here, but I will come with some bits of advice.

First off, know that level is not usually a factor. Although you need a certain surviveability in tough areas, there are other things that count much more. You can have certain special skills, like chaining, high histia, pathfinding etc. Or be skilled as a fighter, show interest in the particular area, show knowledge about the area, or just be a devoted explorer.

An example in what not to do from an FMOCR:

We are in OC3, planning our next step and the entry to OC4. Healers decide the draw etc. One exile then says: Stop the planning already, why don´t we just go in and "do" it. No matter if this was this particular exile´s first trip to the orga camps, it shows a serious lack of understanding of some of the key points in survival. This is an exile I am not likely to ever take with me in dangerous areas. And I couldn´t care less how strong he gets. After the initial planning, we took Orga Camp 4 in one sweep.

Going to dangerous areas you need a group of skilled exiles. As one little misstep can have a impact on the group as a whole. Exiles going to such places are more likely to invite others that understands some basic things. Exiles they trust. Exiles they can count on when the going gets tough.

Another example :

" I really want to come with you. If I fall, I can just depart."

If you are invited on a hunt or a raid, those who have organized it - count you in. You are an axe, a percent of histia, a body, amount of darkus , and a member of the team. Whatever your level, your depart might effect the group as a whole. It´s one less axe, and in the group gathering and planning - your axe counts. By the above statement, you simply say : I want to come and have fun, but I really don´t care about you lot. In raids, you generally don´t depart until the last healer falls. And then you all depart as a group and meet up in Purgatory for debriefing:) In larger groups, you might get what you want. Personally I don`t care much for exiles that departs the minute they hit the ground.

In Tenebrion´s Tower, sixth floor. " Can I go afk?".

Bad timing. A dangerous area that is just cleaned is not any less dangerous. It´s just a pause. The ones around you are not peasants you can spend or not spend time on as you please. Going asleep in such a place? How can you even ask. You basically want us to spend the time it takes for your nap, while trying to defend you as we may and with the risk of falling in the process.

Trust and skill plays a major part. Raids are high risk ventures, and you are not likely to get invited if you don´t understand this. You must also show you understand the concept of loyalty to a team.

Also, the group inviting you must know they can support you. For example with enough Horus. No group with respect for themselves is going to invite someone they can´t keep standing. No matter how much "you" don´t care.
