Battle of Bartok

Greetings again,

Last night (ooc: late Saturday EST) we had a visit from Bartok who is, as I
understand it, the Orga Chieftain. He apparently was not pleased with our
progress of reassembling the Altar.

We had just delivered the ninth (or tenth?) altar piece to Master Hekus.
J'jh, J'nder and I were relaxing in the Town Temple when this huge "thing"
appeared before us. I made the mistake of trying to converse with the beast
and it quickly flattened me as well as my other two friends.

Bartok rampaged up through North Farms into North Forest, then back down to
town where a large part of the populace on the island chased him east,
finally cornering him in the Meadow.

Although surrounded in the Meadow 5-deep with exiles, Bartok was very, very
difficult to put down, especially since a lot of his fellow Orgas (Spites,
Warlocks, you name it) kept showing up. Bartok won the first battle when a
large group of Orgas helped him completely knock our force out.

Cries of "Falinea" were heard throughout the meadow, but I did not see her.
All I know is that Bartok's rampaging assistants were quelled somehow and
somehow at least one healer was up.

We made progress healing those that had fallen and re-attacked Bartok, who
was stuck in the middle of a pile of fallen (including me), once more. I
noticed that Blitz, Urgelt, Vagile, as well as other top-fighters had worked
their way up to Bartok. Somehow they whittled him down to red and someone
laid in the final blow.

There was a huge explosion and I was blow halfway across the Meadow. When
the flames cleared I looked around and saw that although everyone was
standing up, we were all dead as dwarf doorknobs. The Meadow had been
turned into a forest of statues.

Thank the Ancients that Lorikeet, one of our high-horus healers, showed up
and with brave souls that departed, started to get the healing going again.
I believe the healers spent hours trying to get all of the worse cases up
such as Ffodor, Mikan Z, and Urgelt.

With Bartok dispatched to wherever fallen Orgas go, the fight moved on to
Orga Camp. This is the point where I left the battle, I would hope that
someone would follow up on this and let us know if we made any more progress
on the altar. I currently think there are only 2-3 pieces left.

I know that there were many good people involved in this battle with Bartok.
I apologize for mentioning only a few at this time. I seemed to have
suffered a concussion during the Bartok explosion and forgotten many details
of the battle, but will try to gather all the names of those who
participated in the fight.

Regards,
Ton
